A TEXT BOOK FETCHES 70 LAKHS

This is a real incident. Not a fabricated story.

A clerk at the counter in one of our branches over heard a customer speak to himself:”what to do ? That book is not available anywhere. “Readingthe unhappiness from his face the clerk asked: “which book”.  Then he narrated the saga of his search for a book which his son needed badly. The clerk asked if he could try in his town. “ “Why not?” He replied . The clerk collected his phone number and promised to call him if he found the book. To his dismay he could find the book in a bookstall in his home town. He purchased one and called the customer to collect it from the Bank. Next day he came and collected the book.

That was the beginning of a relation between the two. There after for every banking need the customer would consult the particular clerk. A few months after this incident, the customer and some of his close relatives were moving toLondon. He gave all the deposits he maintained atDelhiand got the deposits of his cousins also transferred to the Bank. He total came to around Rs 70 lakhs. Had it not been for the clerk it would not have happened.

Supose!! If he didn’t heed to the customers soliloquy as if it were not his duty?   The very act created a relationship which brought in business in the technical term.

The message here is

Build relationship. Relationship retains and fetches business.”

Remember , relationship does not need bigger things. Small things can build deeper relationship like small bullets hitting huge elephants.

Think it over

All the best-Raman

Yes ! that’s the key to build up on repo. Already bank is known for service. But when we try to go beyond… it proves like as you narrated. Very good motivational effort.
